mainly thanks to the larger contribution of Sémillon at one-third of the blend

I had two vintages of the old-vine cuvée to taste side by side

but for drinking over the next two decades

and they used a little more grapes from La Horra

Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Fremiets Vintage:2006 this is an impressive setThis is more discreet and reserved with wonderfully pure notes of red, black and blue fruits plus a lovely hint of violets that sit atop dusty, refined and gorgeously delineated flavors supported by an almost pungent minerality on the textured, long and explosive finish. This is more concentrated and structured than usual and should live for a very long time. (91 93) 2013+
