The upright stalks arise in mid spring and are topped with a horseshoe like leaf. Each leaf has a silver stripe down the center of each leaflet. Since these are seedlings, each clone is different. Along side the leaf, a separated stalk emerges, holding the black purple pitcher and the long, upright whip like spadix. Oooh it hurts sooo good.
