This is a quality silk bonnet acquired from a wealthy Montreal estate - I can picture a lady during the 1930s wearing this silk bonnet to go out skating or on a sleigh ride

There is some very slight soiling at the back neck

which is the identification for the artist E Violet Hayward (1897-1942)
