Disgorged in April 2020 with four grams per liter dosage
but a few years of cellaring should help in this regard
Tasted in November 2022
intense and nicely precise medium weight flavors possess excellent punch and salinity on the sneaky long
Like the Rugiens this youthfully austere effort is not blessed with outstanding mid-palate density but it’s wellbalanced and harmonious and should age effortlessly yet be approachable after only 5 to 7 years if desired
Paul Jaboulet Aine, Crozes-Hermitage Roure Vintage:2015 Disgorged in April 2020 withOpaque ruby. An assertively scented, complex bouquet features mineral accented boysenberry, cherry liqueur, licorice and smoky mineral aromas that expand with air. Stains the palate with sweet, dense black and blue fruit, spicecake and candied violet flavors that show a surprisingly graceful touch thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Velvety, slow mounting tannins shape a broad, smoke laced finish that hangs on with superb, floral driven persistence.
