This is seriously impressive and is a wine that should age for decades and about the only nit is that the 2009 version is perhaps slightly less refined than other recent vintages

The vibrant and substantially sized flavors also display ample muscle though the mouth feel is distinctly finer and particularly so on the balanced and youthfully austere finale. The Clos de Vougeot is dramatic and bold whereas this is an understated and harmonious effort of class and grace yet
