The Coast to Coast Path was officially designated as a National Trail in March 2026. Devised by Alfred Wainwright in 1973, it crosses from St Bees on the Irish Sea to Robin Hoods Bay on the North Sea, traversing the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors.
