The glass is patterned with ovals within raised horizontal rings. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks there are some very light surface scratches, but nothing pronounced. The pitcher measures 7 7 8 in height to the top of the spout and has a capacity of 8 cups to the very top. This glows beautifully under an ultraviolet light and takes out a glow in the sunlight. Great
