solidly structured flavors with very good if not exceptional length

A discreet touch of wood frames mildly reduced aromas such that I would strongly advise decanting this if you’re going to sacrifice a bottle in the interest of “science”

Carruades Lafite Vintage:2015 Only once you get pastMedium red ruby. Currant, cherry and licorice aromas complicated by cooler notes of tobacco leaf, menthol and fresh herbs. The palate offers limited sweetness, with the distinctly green element giving the wine a slightly tart impression. Offers only modest density and length, but I liked its almost sangiovese like floral quality. Stephen Tanzer
