but with enough ripe acidity to give shape and energy to its flavors of red and darker berries

By contrast there is a lovely sense of freshness and vibrancy to the bigger

Cascina Luisin, Barbaresco Rabaja Vintage:2006 I guess my palate needsThis red has a real sense of place, offering iron, eucalyptus and tobacco aromas and flavors that frame the cherry and strawberry fruit, while the firm structure is from both the bright acidity and dusty tannins. Ends with a long aftertaste of underbrush and sweet fruit. Best from 2015 through 2028. 400 cases made. BS
