My understanding is that Churchill was founded during the late 1940s and was acquired by Resistol during the 1950s. Resistol continued to market the brand for some years after. Im unsure of the age of this hat, but it is of obvious quality, so I would guess 1960s or earlier. The lining is stamped Churchill Ltd and the sweatband is gold stamped similarly. The inventory ticket
