"Woven Basket" - Ash Glazed - XL • May25 • TH0001 Toothpaste Wanderer Butterfly and Caterpillar -Extra large sculptural vessel in an ash glaze by Terunobu Hirata from 2000. Part of the "Red Leaf Pale Moon" exhibition at DEA EAST, May 2025. This striking sculptural work, reminiscent of a woven basket, features a flat base, topped by a hemispherical lattice and finished in a dark, iron coloured ash glaze. Can be used for serving, for fruit or even filled with flowers (particularly on a kensan), but is also perfect on its own as a centrepiece.
