Bien Nacido, X Block Syrah Pillar other_regions_italy (50% whole cluster)The 2015 Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyard X Block is even more deep and brooding than the 2014 rendition, opening in the glass with a youthfully reserved nose of crunchy dark fruit, candied peel, grilled meat, bay leaf and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied, deep and concentrated, with bright acids, fine but chewy tannins and a very tight knit core. Like the 2014, this is also a wine that will reward patience.
