I was surprised though by the absence of the usual excellent complexity though it’s entirely possible that this will develop more than I presently imagine with time in bottle

Aged in French oak and given modern Bordeaux elevage

Unusual spicy nose

Philippe Charlopin-Parizot, Chambolle Musigny Vintage:2019 Tight and reserved(from Les Herbues and Les Gamaires). Restrained aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum liqueur and violet serve as an elegant introduction to the suave and seductively textured medium bodied flavors that exude a lovely minerality that adds a sense of lift to the lingering and balanced finish. This is a richer style of Chambolle villages but no less elegant for it.
