The 3'+ high purple patterned petiole (stalk) gives rise to two dark green leaves (the lower one is much larger), each with 7 13 long leaflets. Each leaflet is highlighted with a dramatic silver streak down its center. Just above the foliage, on a thin stalk, is a narrow pitcher, streaked purple and white with an elongated tip that drapes over the club like spadix and
