Louis Boillot, Volnay Caillerets Vintage:2018 with slow-building tannins(from 45+ year old vines). As it usually is this is the best of the three Volnay 1ers with its spicy and slightly more deeply pitched nose that features notes of plum, violet, red cherry and lavender. The refined, vibrant and beautifully intense middle weight flavors are like sucking on small pebbles before terminating in a more powerful yet balanced and solidly long finish. Like the Brouillards this is quite firmly structured and will need a few
