The Limoges France backstamp that appears on the underside of this plate is a green mark that was used from 1891 by a number of manufacturers

and there are two shallow chips

The pinback measures 1 1/4 in diameter

Condition:  This 50s prom dress is in very good condition with the exception of a some light discolouration/soiling at the underarm area and a bit of the same to the back bow

unused condition - there is a small pink mark under the label

Pierrot, however, appears to be depicted as a female, although I cant be sure. The print was published by Sidney Z Lucas of New York. Sidney Zoltan Lucas (1896 1966) was a prolific publisher of art prints, establishing the Camilla Lucas Publishing Company in 1928. He would travel to Europe several times a year to commission work by artists, mostly French or Flemish, who would title and sign in pencil
